The Giving Tree respects that every child is an individual that follows their own learning path. We would like to help your child succeed in following their educational course by providing developmentally appropriate lessons and activities. Our curriculum corresponds with the Tennessee Early Childhood Early Learning Developmental Standards and is approved by the Department of Human Services and the Department of Education.
We provide for all areas of a child's development: physical, emotional, social and cognitive; through hands-on, high-order thinking activities and lessons. Educational lessons are designed for each age group, while understanding the special needs and cultures of each child. Our caring staff will help guide your child to a lifetime of learning. Sign language is taught in infant through Pre-k classrooms. Teachers are required to turn in detailed lesson plans that meet the TN developmental standards. Teachers must continue their education in early education by completing 24 hours of in-service and classroom hours annually. Lesson plans are posted for all family members to view. Example topics include: science, social studies, math, reader readiness, word and letter recognition, handwriting, plus many many more! Pre-kindergarten and School Agers work with computers throughout their daily schedule. All lessons taught are hands on, hitting our weekly and monthly themes and standards. |
